Yoga Teacher Training in Klungkung, Bali: 100, 200 and 300-Hour Courses

YMB Yoga School in Bali is a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School (RYS 200/300/500) that has trained more than 5,330 students since 2018, with a 5.0 rating on Google. The campus sits in Klungkung in East Bali, about 90 minutes from Denpasar airport, away from the traffic and beach clubs of the south. There is an open-air yoga hall, a vegetarian kitchen and simple shared and private rooms.

Three courses run on the same monthly intake, each starting on the 1st. The 100-hour runs 10 days and is for a first taste of teacher training. The 200-hour runs 21 days and is the qualification most people need to teach; graduates register as RYT 200. The 300-hour runs 28 days for teachers who already hold a 200-hour certificate.

Days follow a fixed timetable: 06:30 pranayama, 07:00 Ashtanga, 08:30 breakfast, 09:30 yoga philosophy, 11:00 Hatha or Vinyasa, 12:30 lunch, 14:00 Ayurveda and chakra study, 15:15 anatomy and alignment, 17:00 Yin, 18:30 meditation, 19:00 dinner. Teaching methodology runs alongside throughout. Sundays are for an included excursion into Bali.

Who it suits: complete beginners through to practising teachers, solo travellers and friends travelling together. No prior teaching experience is needed for the 200-hour.

The faculty mixes Indian teachers trained in the traditional lineage with Balinese teachers who teach Ayurveda, philosophy and chakra work. Food is sattvic vegetarian and Ayurvedic, cooked on site from organic produce grown in the school garden, with vegan and gluten-free diets on request.
